MARKET WATCH - Market on the rise?

REAL ESTATE MARKET ON THE RISE?
 
The reports are in, the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS (MAR and the National Association of REALTORS (NAR) stated this week that sales are up over the same time last year.  September proved to be a good month for the real estate market with a nearly 10% increase.  According to MAR this is the 3rd straight month both single-family and condominium sales were up.  Read more . . .

CBUMR Market Watch

Encouraging movement in the real estate market, statistics reveal an increase in the number of sales for single family and condominium homes. Looking at the 3rd quarter for this year compared to last calculate a nice 28.3% increase in Hampshire County and 27.2% increase in Franklin County.
 
Sale prices fluctuate a little as condominium sales in Hampshire County and dropped by 2.43%, however, single family sale prices rose by 8.5%. Franklin County did not fare as well, decreasing 25.3% in condominium sale price and 9.3% in single family sale price.

SHEEP SHEARING DAY
Sunday, October 16th - Winterberry Farm in Leverett, MA.  Free event - donations appreciated
Demonstrations will include:  Border collies herding ducks, spinning (making yarn on spindles, spinning on wheels, needle felting with many fibes, wet felting with sheep wool, weaving cloth on hand and floor looms and angora rabbit grooming and spinning.  Sheep shearing at noon for other demonstrations and information go to www.winterberryfarm.org.
